What to Expect from Seed Tea?

Hi,

New member here, with a question about poppyseed tea.

There was a recent post on this subject which included pictures of bulk seeds, and indicated which was best for tea.

Let's say, hypothetically, SWIM found the same bag of seeds as in the picture, but is unable to determine if these seeds are really dark enough. A Tea is brewed up, nonetheless, and...nothing happens.

And now the question of the moment is: just how many seeds and how much liquid is necessary for a good tea? SWIM is thinking the amounts are substantial, and possibly unpalatable.

SWIM is also concerned about discrepancies in chemical content from batch-to-batch, as this can (and has) caused fatalities among other tea drinkers.
