NVR R40 Xtd release?

So swim aquired 2 capsules that read NRV (on top) R40 (on bottom half) Realizes that they were ritalin 40mg LA. Swim saw little white beads in the capsules so swim spilled them out, crushed them up really good, put a bit on a spoon, mixed it up and booted...swim didn't get THAT much of a rush..and swim doesn't have no tolerance to any amphetamine or speed at all...

Swim was wondering what is a good dose to start IV'ing these ritalin's? What does the LA stand for? Are they extended release since they are in beads or what? Swim thanks in advance...
