Cymbalta and Adderall interaction

SWIM was recently prescribed Cymbalta (Duloxetine Hcl), an SNRI, which inhibits the reuptake of serotonin and norepinepherine. He has been on it for 4 days and already feels a lift not only in mood, but in energy--probably due to it's affect on norepinepherine.

SWIM also renewed his Adderall (amphetamine salts) today, and he is interested in seeing how these two interact. SWIM supposses they will potentate one another, though probably on a medicinal, and not recreational, level.

SWIM believes this because:
1) amphetamines stimulates norepinephrine formation/production
2) duloxetine inhibits norepinephrine reuptake, leaving more in the synaptic gap
3) "Duloxetine is a moderate inhibitor of CYP2D6 and increases the [mean exposure] and Cmax of drugs metabolized by CYP2D6." Amphet. salts are metabolized by CYP2D6.
4) "Given the primary CNS effects of Cymbalta, it should be used with
caution when it is taken in combination with or substituted for other centrally acting drugs, including those with a similar mechanism of action."

Any thoughts prior to SWIM's investigation? SWIM truly hopes Cymbalta helps with coming off amphets. I'll post what SWIM finds out.
