alternative to smoking for cannabis use to minimize lung damage?

I'm looking for an alternative to SMOKING cannabis,i've heard of a vapouriser for weed,do these work as giving up isn't working very well at all and i want to mininise my chances of lung cancer .Any other safe ways to get a quick hit from it as trying it in cake ect hasn't managed to ween me off smoking it
