Is oxymorphone/OPANA and Diladid the same?

Swim is confused by different things she has read about oxymorphone. Swim was prescribed 20 mg 2x daily of Opana er and 5 mg of IR Opana for breakthrough. Swim has a wee H problem too(not shot it yet) and wondered if swim would be ok (no withdrawal and able to function) if swim just did the opana/oxymorphone. What is the best way for swim to use the opana? SWIM really needs help because it seems her tolerance has shot through the roof on the H,and it is the only thing that seems to make her feel normal again, swim just has depleted the funds on it and is really tired of dealing with slimy dealers who hit on her and think she is stupid.

I don't have the best information for you, as I am still learning about Opana's. But what I do know is that SWIM has always snorted Opana's and it has never failed him.

Re: Is oxymorphone/OPANA and Diladid the same?

Hydromorphone and Oxymorphone are completely different and unique from both each other and any other pain medication. Though they are both derivatives of Morphine, it is a completely different drug that will often work perfect for a patient where Morphine didn't work at all. So the "Morphone" part of the names means they are molecularly similar to morphine. Both these medications are extremely powerful (around 6-10 times more potent than Morphine on a Milligram per Milligram bases) and are used most often in post-operation patients. Chronic Pain sufferers will sometimes be put on one of these medications in the form of a time-release pill, but generally only if all other options have been exhausted!

they are different, but if your used to using opana hydromorphone can help but only if injected, now that opanas are hard to abuse properly some have turned back to the K-4s, very good rush and euphoria when injected but doesnt really last long ..... my favorite drug besides opana

Most people say hands down Dilaudid IV is the greatest Opiate rush known to man. However Oxymorphone is a close 2nd, perhaps Diacetylmorphine matching both, more so Oxymorphone in how it lasts longer than Hydromorphone. The rush associated with IV Hydromorphone is shortlived but intense, breathtakingly intense. It is a matter of personal preference, however most seem to prefer Opana/Oxymorphone as it has legs, has great euphoria and also provides a rush, just slightly less intense as IV Hydromorphone/Dilaudid.

This thread titled Oxymorphone vs Hydromorphone may be of some assistance as well:
http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/sho...d.php?t=177450

Stay safe both are among the most addictive Opiates available and have a huge dependency liability as surely your aware.
