SWIM has heard plenty of talk about grapefruit juice (GFJ) potentiating
opiates but very little talk about its effect on
ketamine. I'm fairly certain ketamine is broken down by the same P460 CYP3A4 enzyme's that opiates are so it should work. CYP3A4 is what turns awesome ketamine into awful norketamine. Inhibiting the enzyme should lead to both increased peak and longer duration, likely with a more pronounced effect on duration.
SWIM has not tried this and probably wont be able to for a little while but will post here when he can. I have seen one or two other threads on this but all old and with no actual experiences. One study i read somewhere talked about potentiating ketamine in rats but i forget where i read it...
Anyway any info, particularly first hand experiences, on the effectiveness of this potentiation would be much appreciated!
