Effects - to0 much of a dose?

SWIM took a Vyvanse 70 mg at 11am yesterday. It was the first time hed ever taken an amphetamine.

He ate a sandwich then took it at 11am, in a 13 hour straight study/write/test period, He forgot to eat or drink liquids all day. When he tried to go to bed at 3am (16 hours after dose)( after finally eating a small meal and drinking water) he couldn't keep his mind from racing (song was playing in his head) . He finally fell asleep at 6am, but only got two hours of sleep. He cant go back to sleep and his mind is still racing but his body is very tired. Its been exactly 24 hours, He mind feels awake but a little slow, his body is wanting to go to sleep but he cant!


What is causing this and what can i do?

hes 5'10 140 pounds.

sounds about par for the course. Vyvanse is a pro-drug and has a really long half life. This is pretty much expected. Eat some food and keep busy. Maybe have a drink or two or smoke some reefer, to relax.

Next time try and find regular Adderal and it won't last so long.

Thanks for the quick response potter, Ill drop the swim baloney, it was me who took the 70mg, surprise surprise. my main problem is getting songs stuck in my head for reason, that i cant turn off to save my life. I RARELY smoke but smoked two bowls last night at 4 in the am.... was stoned, but mind was still functioning. Ill try a few drinks tonight, would you recommend Advil pm?

I have had a dream where i took upwards of 700mg in 24 hrs not saying my dream was safe but the ld 50 for humans must be substantially high for me not to feel ill in my dream or uncomfortable... needless to say i have been dreaming for over three days continually! Will be starting my own thread soon in a more in depth and vastly detailed... hope to have some interested readers so keep an eye out pls

I think you should sleep ok tonight. vyvanse mg for mg isn't as strong as adderall or dexadrine. it has lisdexamphetamine which your body has to convert to dextroamphetamine which is what is in dexadrin. Anyhow long story short it's like 10 mg dexadrine to 25 mg vyvanse.

I am suprised your not getting pretty tired now.....How did the 13 hour study session go did you actually learn anything or accomplish anything. I've had great study sessions on speed and some not so great kinda just tweeked on shit study sessions.

Anyhow if your having trouble sleeping tonight I don't think something with a mild sleep aid would hurt.
