Injecting - result of injecting ambian

SWIM shot up some ambian about two weeks ago and is currently seeing the doctor due to an abscess that has formed. In addition id like to add that SWIM has another bump on her left hand which is much smaller than the abscess that she is currently recovering from (golf ball size) and another bump on her inner elbow where most people shoot up, this bump is not visible but it is feelable, these bumps have been there about a week.
Another issue, SWIM just shot up tonight in her right hand and missed, causing major swelling, her pinky and ring finger knuckles are no longer visible due to the swelling. She read up a few hours later about applying heat... after she had already attempted ice.
Questions are.... are those bumps too small to be abscesses? And my final question, (the reason I posted this in the first place) will the swelling go down? and when? And how bad is it. She can't close her hand all the way, it hurts.

Those bumps you describe are very likely some sort of abscess or infection... I would strongly urge you to see a doc again immediately... it sounds like the binders in the pills are causing a severe inflammatory reaction, resulting in swelling and a build-up of fluids in the area. That and likely infection... Not to frighten you or anything, but this can lead directly to gangrene and eventually amputation if not treated properly
