Hi,

Does anyone have any info whether taking mescaline while being prescribed mirtazapine(remeron) would have any complications?

Well i found this...

"Mescaline, a hallucinogen, antagonizes 5-HT2 terminals and facilitates dopamine function. Oxetorone and pizotyline are relatively new antagonists used against migraine. Mirtazapine (Remeron) causes serotonin release, but subsequently blocks the 5-HT2 and 5-HT3 subreceptors, effectively augmenting serotonin action at 5-HT1 receptors."

So from this i'm getting that mescaline antagonizes 5-HT2 receptors, and mirazapine blocks 5-HT2 receptors... Does this mean that the mescaline won't have much effect, because mirtazapine's action will stop it?

Does anyone think it would be overly unsafe to try it out if i can't find any info?

Bandito.
