Opinions - Zolpidem & Prescription Tracking

SWIM is forced to take zolpidem to treat swim's severe insomnia. Swim might have had several sleepless nights last week and might have contacted swim's p-doc because swim wasn't due to see her psychiatrist for another week and really needed the aid of zolpidem. Swim went to a local (mom & pop) pharmacy and used insurance. Swim saw her psychiatrist today and got her normal Rx of zolpidem. Will swim be able to get the new prescription filled at a different pharmacy that swim has never been to before and therefore does not have swim's insurance on file? Or will swim be tagged in a Big Brother database? Swim has received zolpidem from both doctors before but is worried because this time the dates are a week apart.

Swim's very brief statement: Insomnia. Bad, bad insomnia. Swim was out of

Ambien (Zolpidem) and called the p-doc for a refill. Used insurance. Swim had car trouble and cancelled psych appointment on Tuesday. Today, went to see psyc who wrote swim his normal meds, including ambien. (There was a washing machine mishap that was involved here - no joke, no bullsh*t excuse. At least I had my Addy with me before the washing machine ate everything else, ha.

Swim would like to know if he can safely secure the Ambien (surely they won't give me hell about wanting to refill Ambien while I also have to refill Lexapro and Lamictal?)

Would going to another bordering state into a non-chain pharmacy help any? Especially since the Rx'ing doctor is from said state?

Swim knows it's summer time, and he really doesn't want to see two cops show up and bust him... Am I overreacting? What to do for swim, please!

It is doubtful that cops would bust SWIY for having two scripts for the same med. If SWIY uses insurance for one and not the other, this could keep the insurance company for raising a red flag and questioning SWIY about it.
