psychedelic hiccups a cautionary tale

SWIM wants to warn you no matter how tempting it may be DO NOT answer you telephone when you are trippng. You may want to warn your friends and family who are hip to what you are doing not to call and make up a BS excuse for everyone else.

SWIM is a bad person. She answered her phone while trippng. She had checked the called ID and saw it was her sister in law (some what hip) She was worried because her mother in law has been ill recently so against her better judgment she answered the phone. Her sister in law began to tell her how her kitty was sick and she had to work and could SWIM give the cat a ride to the vet (its a three day holiday weekend) SWIM loves kitties so she agreed. She also thought she would be down by noon the next day.

11:00 The next afternoon... SWIM is still tripping. The sky is back and filled with storm clouds. There air is thick with bad MoJo telling SWIM not to attempt the drive. Bad vibes abound and SWIM knows IT is not safe and neither is she behind the wheel.

At this point SWIM should have called but her sister in law is at work and she doesnt want to tell her mother in law "whats up" and she doesnt want to lie. So she runs to bed and pulls the covers over her eyes hoping it will all go away.

SWIM awakes with the Psycedelic hick ups. Every time SWIM has done something to seriously fuck up her Karma, Chi, spiritual alignment she gets these. She get the hiccups. She was still tripping so every hic made her head explode with colors and patterns. She felt truely awful about what she had or rather hadn't done. SWIM is a shitty person and knows now what she has to do.

She will make the call and appologize and admit that she wasnt in the right frame of mind to promise anything to anyone. She's gonna man up and hope they forgive her. Especially the cat.

A word to all the SWIMmers out there if your gonna SWIM with out a sitter do so at your own risk and if you do... take the phone off the hook.
DONT be SWIM shes a shitty person sometimes.

The road to hell is often paved with good intentions.

Just and update... I made the call and applogized. The cat is fine. The cat wasn't really all that sick after all but I feel better knowing I did the right thing. I will try to be a better person. I am glad that the people who love me know I tend to screw up sometimes.

Interesting, about the hiccups, I beleive SWIM gets the same thing. SWIM finds this interesting in a "spiritual" sense, because it redefines "sin" as merely an obstacle to spiritual progression, as opposed to the guilt trip imposed by classical religion. You curse yourself in the truest sense it seems.

SWIM likes to turn off the ringer let it all go to the machine.

Glad the feline is ok. Perhaps some catnip would sort things out between you two....

Why do people have such a fear of turning off their phones? You don't need to make an excuse beforehand, you simply unplug the phone.

Good point. In my case I think it is a left over from having children to worry about. You always wanted the lines open in case something should happen. Now that my son is grown its a new concept I will have to get used to as he doesnt need his mommy too much these days.

Very interesting. Complexity=density of communication. If you see a phone or the internet as an extension of you neural system/sensory organs, it makes sense that one would become attached to a phone/method of communication, like one is to their senses.

People seem to feel "less human" if they are emotionally detached, aswell as now, technologically detached.

It is easy to beleive that you are communicating with someone, as opposed to talking into a plastic box, to 1's and 0's.

Re: psychedelic hiccups a cautionary tale

SWIM once did a similar thing in which he answered his phone and agreed to let a friends dogs out while he was away. He did not even think about what he was saying until after the conversation was over. He was supposed to let the dogs out once at night and again in the morning. Unfortunately he was too messed up and did neither..
