Helsingin Sanomat, 26.05.2005 reports that Finland is going to pass a new law that gives authorities a possibility to make surveillance of chemicals before they are moved into controlled substances list. The article mentions specifically that GHB and GBL would be an example of these kind of chemicals. Article is unclear on the consequences of this law, would it give police or customs the option to seize chemicals until formal regulations against them is formed into law or simply keep track on people that have possessed these chemicals. This is a further step for Finland in its own little war on drugs.
