Dispenser/Whipper size
My kitty cat is considering purchasing a whipped cream dispenser and wants to be able to fill 11" balloons fully with it. Which size whipper (1/4 litre, 1/2 litre or 1 litre) would be able to do this with a 8gm charger? He wants to get the smallest dispenser possible for ease of transportation, but he doesn't want to skimp on the amount of nitrous he can pack!
Cheers ^_^ |

Re: Dispenser/Whipper size
By Snuffkins estimations a single 8g charger does not have enough gas in it to inflate a balloon to an 11" diameter.
As for dispenser size Snuffkin agrees the smaller the better for convenience of transport and storage. to fill a balloon to 11" one would put one cap/charger in the dispenser, inflate the balloon with it and leaving the balloon attached and in place carefully crack another charger into the dispenser and release that into the balloon also. two 8g chargers would probably achieve about 11". Re: Dispenser/Whipper size
My fluffy cat Mr.Meows-a-lot sends his thanks for Snuffkins timely response. Is he right in thinking 1/4 litre whipper could easily contain all the nitrous from a 8gm charger?

Re: Dispenser/Whipper size
Ohhhh, Now Snuffkin understands what Mr.meows-a-lot is asking.
Yes a 1/4 liter dispenser will hold 8g of nitrous oxide just fine. Some people charge the dispenser with 2 nitrous caps at the same time, But Snuffkin advises against this as there is a much greater risk they will blow up, which can be very dangerous. But 1 charger in a 1/4 liter dispenser is fine. Have fun! Geezaman |

Re: Dispenser/Whipper size
The smallest dispenser should work fine. The pressure in the dispenser will just be higher with the cartridge discharged than with a larger dispenser. It has to be strong enough to handle that pressure plus some since swiy would normally charge it while say half the volume or more is taken up by cream. So charging it with no cream in it would be an even lower pressure.
Swim likes a larger dispenser to give more space for paper towels to soak up any oily residue and more surface area to try to let the gas warm more when doing multiple chargers. |
