Dose - Higer than Expected on MCPP and MEOPP

OK, I don’t want to get too long, but my cat had a trip last night that was unexpectedly strong and I’m looking for help to understand what happened.

My cat obtained 1 gram of mcpp and 1 gram of meopp from a research chemical supply company with the intention of verifying the source and starting some initial experiments with piperazine combinations.

The cat’s previous experiences some years ago with piperazine blended “party pills” from New Zealand were very positive. Living in the USA the cat is looking for a local, legal equivalent.


A broad survey of available information on the net led the kitty to select mcpp and meopp. Some of the key quotes from Eurowid, Bluelight and this site were:

• 150mg meopp and 50mg mcpp is lovely best piperizine blend for like E effects
• SWIM has found that 250 mg of meOPP + 50 mg of mcPP is a perfect combination.
• This combo is empathegenic more so then just the mcpp by itself. I am getting massive warm rushes and a very pleasant feeling of well being.
• MeOPP is anecdotally said to induce significantly less anxiety than similar piperazines, and is usually taken at doses between 120 - 200mg

It seemed that some had had success with a ratio between 2:1 and 5:1 of meopp to mcpp. Meopp dosing was commonly reported to be in the 120 – 250 mg range and mcpp was reported around 50 mg.


Given those amounts and ratios, kitty thought he was being cautious as he measured out 20 mg of mcpp and 60 mg of meopp – about half of what was described as ‘effective’ in other reports.

The goal was to verify that this stuff wasn’t poisonous or allergic for the cat. The feline didn’t expect a trip, maybe some mild effects but little more. He got a heck of a lot more.

The powders were ingested with an acidic hard lemonade (some alcohol content) as some reports said that an acidic carrier could reduce the stomach upset commonly reported with the piperazines. The alcohol here may have been a mistake, but it was a small amount; about the equivalent to 1 can of beer. Only minor stomach discomfort was experienced, so that part seems to have worked.

The come-up started at about t+30 min, as generally reported. By t+60 distinct tingles were felt at the back of the neck, arms, and hands. A lot of yawning was noted too.
T+1:00 to t:2:00 was pretty nice. Mild high, not speedy, no visuals, just felt good. No tactile enhancements noted (something the hedonistic cat is seeking.) Did some solo sensual exploration with good effects. (The cat’s main interest in these chemicals is for enhancing sexual experiences, so this is necessarily part of the testing.)

T+2:00 to T+3:00 Kitty crossed the line into too much. Still fairly lucid, probably could have held a simple conversation, but reported “very high” with on-going mild paranoia. This was *much* higher than he expected to get and the paranoia centered on the dosing. Had he reversed the meopp and mcpp proportions? Were the bags mislabeled from the factory?

The cat went to bed around t+2:15. Sleep didn’t come easily, but it did come. Slept on and off from t+3:00 to t+6:00 then solidly to t+9:00.

The peak was probably around t+2:30. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t particularly pleasant either.

At t+3:00 and t+4:00 feelings of happiness and well being were noted along with vivid dreams. This was probably ramping down through a pleasant blood-level territory
At t+6:00 an unpleasant come-down was noted. Still far from baseline, and the poor cat’s head felt ‘weird’ and the throat tightness was unpleasantly prominent.

T+9:00 was 6:30 am and the cat’s normal time to rise and shine for the day. Got up, had some morning coffee, but realized that more sleep was very necessary. Slept an additional 4 hours and got up again at t+13:00.

Writing this from notes taken by the cat during the experience. It’s now t+16:00 and he says he still feels some after effects in the form of tingles or tightness on the backs of the hands and arms, as well as on the forehead and around the eyes. No headache, but a little foggy in the head and noticeably de-motivated.

Now, the cat has verified that the proportions of meopp to mcpp were as intended and is quite certain that the dosing was, in fact, 60 mg meopp and 20 mg mcpp. Measurements were done on a .002 g accurate scale.

The feline’s burning question is why was this dose that seemed to be low by the standards of other trip reports so powerful for him?

I have posted pictures the cat took of the chemicals as received from the supplier in the research chemicals image gallery, in case the label or color of the powder might provide a clue.

The cat will proceed with these experiments, probably halving the dose and doing the two chems separately. Moving the starting line back a bit and proceeding slowly up from there.

No. A later experiment with 10 mg MCPP / 30 mg MEOPP was very mild. Almost no noticable effects. Next text will be 13 mg / 40 mg.

The cat thinks there really is some potential here, so he's gonna keep at it.

Strategy is to first establish a pleasant effective level for these two, then experiment with proportions, and then tryadding in some of the other piperazines for 'seasoning'.

Sice BZP was part of all of the more successful party pills and was largely responsible for the 'energy' component of the effects. The curious cat is also planning on adding in OTC 'energy' shots like 5-Hour Energy or some Ephedra that was stockpiled before that went off the market in the USA.
