stimulant withdrawl?

Swim has taken between 30-60 mg of focalin everyday for the last 7 days and yesterday 75mg of adderall. Today they had none of either drug to take and has noticed slight nausea throughout the day and abdonminal pain at various times. They are also getting the chills with a slight fever and notices small muscle twitching occasionally.

is this possibly withdrawl from the stims or a long come-down?

Re: stimulant withdrawl?

Of course SWIY is having WD/comedown, SWIYs been tweaking for 7 days! Do a search, there is plenty of info about helpful tips, harm reduction etc. Always search first before posting!
Lots of options to choose from, if SWIY doesn't find info they are looking for, come back and post a specific question if it's not answered elsewhere.

Re: stimulant withdrawl?

Y from the UK says, 'Dunno what focalin is, but isnt adderall some form of phetty?'.

Phettys for seven days, man yeah, comedown.

Y wasnt in any frame of mind to wade through online info on the comedown, but good idea to bone up on the info when your straight again.

Dont wanna end up like Y, rebound depression has hit Y so hard he has got pi$$ed off with speed, and feels really annoyed at it.
It's been weeks, and Y just does not want to know about nowt. Y cannot be doing with the aftereffects of phettys, it seems, although he misses the good side to them. (this deminished, or the bad effects seemed to start outweighing the good)

Y is waiting, any day, now, for a sudden uplift in mood.

Not due to more speed, but due to the fact he has abstained for weeks.
The dopamine rebound depression should be over anyday, as Y has also eaten well and cut down on bad food too.
The moodlift should be here any second, right?

Y got sick of having nothing to get interested in, due to phetty withdrawal, so he is making this great upcoming day something to look forward to.
It will be like coming up on a drug.
Dopamine rush without drugs.

Re: stimulant withdrawl?

Swim never got nausea from coming down...maybe it's from the dry mouth and not eating? It's sort of weird. But I wouldn't be too worried if it goes away soon. Just try to get some sleep for the next day or two and try to eat a good amount of food. Believe it or not caffeine generally helps swim feel better without much anxiety too.

It's been a month and SWIM still doesn't feel right. SWIM is also really angry that others around her are able to indulge when she isn't (due to an impending pre-employment drug test that she's been waiting, waiting, waiting on). Probably this anger is impeding her progress towards feeling "normal" again, whatever that was.

SWIY should consider taking a B-complex supplement.

Re: stimulant withdrawl?

Swim finds it can take a long time to find motivation after a heavy phet binge.. part of the reason it's so addictive. Stay strong.

Re: stimulant withdrawl?

yeah, SWIM finds that lack of food, or sleep - or both - contribute a great deal to the shitty feeling of the withdrawls. and the mental feeling of being brought down, well that's something that SWIM can overcome a great deal of in his head if he tries hard to change his own mindset for a few days. yeah, uppers, especially speed, can really screw with the way your mind works, even a long time after not having any, SWIM knows just how it is.

Re: stimulant withdrawl?

Be lucky it's not opiate or benzo WDs.. they make stim WD look like a walk in the park! the best thing to do after an amphetamine binge, is to
Get some rest, eat some food, and take some vitamins - like tyrosine and DLPA which can help the brain replenish some of the dopamine depletion.
