Tier 2 Upper triple comparison
Dear SWIMers,
SWIM wants to know the opinion of your best ape: how do d-amphetamine, methylphenidate and methcathinone compare with each other? Points of interest: -duration of action -subjective effects on: -physical energy level -mental/intellectual energy level -range of mental functioning changes -comfort -sociability -attitude/emotional state -comedown Anything else that ape can think of... |

Re: Tier 2 Upper triple comparison
SWIM can't speak for methylphenidate, but as far as dextroamphetamine is concerned...
Duration: Oral 6-8 hours to return to baseline, Intranasal 2-4 hours before feeling "crashy" Physical energy: AWESOME! Although d-amph is strictly a psychostimulant, it has a marked effect on the perception of physical fatigue. Incredible apetite suppression, to the point of SWIM being able to go on 500-1000 calories in a 24+ hour time frame with little or no noticable hunger or desire to eat. Mental: As long as SWIY isn't on the tail end of a binge, all mental fatigue disappears for at least a few hours, and SWIY feels compelled to do work, be productive, and be social. This gets worse at higher doses, when the speediness can really be felt. SWIM often finds himself jumping from activity to activity without really finishing any one thing. Suggestion - make a "to do" list before speeding and stick to it. Range of Mental Changes: See above. D-amph's euphoria is incredible, and can put SWIY into an extremely driven, capitalistic, philosophical, and empathetic mood. Comfort: This is sacrificed at higher doses. Increased heart rate and BP can be uncomfortable for some, and dehydration can get annoying (D-amph is a strong diruetic). Many, including SWIM experience discomfort in joints, and some sad cases experience formication -- the sensation of bugs crawling under your skin. Jaw clenching can be pretty bad at even low-ish doses, and many end up tearing apart their lips or cheeks through compulsive biting. Sociability - Becomes more noticable at higher doses. There are times when SWIM wants to get something done, and has people distracting him, that he finds himself feeling quite antisocial. But when nothing is on his plate that needs finishing, it's a fine drug to take and have a simple conversation with friends. Attitude/emotional state: Confident, mature, responsible, philosophical, productive, motivated....SWIM has described it many times as "motivation in pill form", and it takes this to the next level, really. Comedown: sucks. Feelings of fatigue, irritability, and possibly halucinations or psychotic episodes if SIY has been binging at high doses for a moderate to severe length of time. Most people suggest a benzodiazepine like alprazolam or clonazepam for ease the comedown, others say marijuana is the best. SWIM just eats a decent amount of food, makes sure he's hydrated (with citric drinks, if possible), then takes either DXM or melatonin before crashing. Not sure what else to include...questions? |

Re: Tier 2 Upper triple comparison
No comparison to methcathinone?
Thanks for the reply, though. |
