I was wanting to get others' experiences using supplements in conjunction with RC's. As stated on another thread, 5-htp seems to help potentize Methylone and XTC. At least that is what most who responded said.

I was wondering about all supplements folks have taken with or prior to RC's and how it went.

I'm very interested in this subject. A little history here...I have a practice where I see dozens of patients a day. Currently, things like Prozac, and Inderal and Wellbutrin are used a lot for folks with depression. Ritalin is used for hyper people. In my experience, you can take a combination of supplements and achieve excellent results in folks who have moderate problems along these lines. In other words, you don't have to take the prescription drugs, which are often overkill and, unfortunately for some, cause real problems...even suicide.

An example: I tell people to get DMAE, Tyrosine and St. John's Wort to combat SAD (seasonal affective disorder...happens in winter for some when there isn't much sunlight). It works just great for nearly everyone I've told to get it.

Anyway...what, if any, experience do you have with supplements and RC's.

this does not hold true for most users. seasoned users know that preloading / concurrent admin of 5-HTP with MDMA will vastly diminish / kill any peak effects. thus, it is used for postloading only.

for general preloading: l-phenylalanine, piracetam, centrophenoxine, general multivites, antioxidant complex, and definitely magnesium.Edited by: nanobrain

Ok...I would consider myself a seasoned user of MDMA (from back in the day's of "real raves" when you had to go on a "treasure hunt" in order to finally find the place...back in the late '80's)

I do admint, thought, I haven't consistently been part of that scene. I tend to dip in and out of it all. So, I don't know why taking 5-htp seems to help.

So, how close to taking XTC do you take 5-htp in order to dimininsh the peak? If you took it several hours prior, would it have that effect?

Also, isn't phenylalanine aprecursor to acetylcholine? Curious as to how that helps the whole experience? Perhaps since most neurons use acetylcholine, it would help the entire gnostic aspect of any experience.

Now, I know XTC causes a release of tons of serotonin, but it also causes quite a release of dopamine too (I'm sure that part gives the speedy aspect while the serotonin gives the other aspects).

Any thoughts on supplements that help dopamine replenish?

paradies, l-phenylalanine > l-tyrosine > dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine.

afaik, l-phen is not a precuror involved in acetylcholine production. you may be thinking centrophenoxine / DMAE / choline bitartrate???

i dont like taking tyrosine because it triggers cluster headaches for me.

5-HTP administered within 6 hours prior to MDMA ingestion has shown to vastly diminish or negate the peak MDMA effects in a variety of test subjects. this has been posted on extensively on some other forums.

Thanks nanobrain. I'll need to pick your brain lots more on this subject. Plus I'm gonna re-study what I should already know (busting myself here).

Also, I'll do a search on this site about 5-htp. I sure hope I haven't commited one of those bone-headmistakes requiring rebuke by not having done so!

Sorry to hear about the cluster headaches. Normally, tyrosine is helpful to goose T-4. Unless your T-3 uptake is unusually high, I don't think it is a common trigger of cluster headaches...esp. since it is just a single amino acid. Now you've got me thinking. Must do more research...THX
