Effects - Proscaline Activity

Swim and a few fellow lab rats have recently come into some Proscaline, analysed and pure. However with several trials they have become puzzled. There is very little online literature concerning this compound and only one lab rat swim knows that consumed it and had very little effect.

The compound was tested at 25, 35, 45, 50, 60 and 100mg amounts, all orally and there was no chance of cross-tolerance in any of the lab rats.

It has shown no psychoactivity so far. We thought there might be something wrong with the batch but a fellow rat had boring but noticable +1 effect from 25mg of the very same batch. The purity was shown as %99.1

Is there anything that could explain this, or are there any others out there that can confirm the activity of Proscaline?

Was the purity determined independently or by the supplier? The only reports I know of the activity are those in TIHKAL, which can be found on erowid, if not a thread on here.

How long a break was taken between the trial runs?

SWIM has no idea what a dose for this would be but the chem is supposed to be like mescaline isn't it? A dose of mescaline is 400+mg so maybe you're still a bit on the low side.

Hmm interesting, Shulgin lists the dosage of both escaline and proscaline at 40-60mg while mescaline's dosage is 300-500mg. Wonder if he was too scared to go any higher

It seems that in the 40-60mg range, Escaline is quite active while Proscaline at 40-60mg isn't nearly as active. Shulgin lists some euphoria but mentions that nothing profound or life-changing happened to him on it, just a good sense around the day - probably similar to what the rat experienced on 25mg. Whether that is a placebo effect or not, swiM's own rat can't answer.
