Hey all , just sittin n' thinking.

Out of all drug overdoses, not including alcolhol, does anyone have statistical facts on which drug is,or has been the one to cause the most overdoses ( death ). I'm guessing that it is opiates over cocaine. Could someone out there in our world give me proof, maybe I've been guessing wrong.

I think that most illegal drug overdoses involve sleeping meds and benzoos. Heroin overdoses are more rare than you'd think, since heroin users are very careful with their habit, and know that it could kill them instantly. Pills can be accidently overdosed, you can take a bunch of pills, forget you took them, and then take that much again.

If you count tobacco as a drug, then there have been MILLIONS of deaths
from it. IMHO, one of the dumbest things you could ever do is to start
smoking... funny i say that with a cigarette in my hand and about 3
packs in my pocket.

I have heard of a lot of cocaine overdoses also. Maybe it is just
coincidence, but almost all the people in my area who died of an O.D.
were taking like 2 eight balls and tried to push it to the limit and
died on the spot. Sad sad story... It doesnt benefit anyone. They dont
have fun and probably die, it makes the substance look worse, and
whoever DOES use it responsibly looks like an irresponsible druggy.

Other then that, i have heard a lot of O.D.s from mixing dangerous
drugs together. One incident involved a man who took 1000 mgs of DXM
(he was an experienced user, so it wasnt really a large amount), but
the cough syrup also contained many other ingredients... in addition to
that, he took a large amount of alcholol and i believe he had some
painkillers too. THis all reasulted in an overdose... all of these
substances would have been safe by themselves, but mixing was the cause.

Peace.
