Seriously? 240 mg of oxycodone with no experience? How much tylenol is the question to be honest. Liver can fail instantly if you take over 4000 mg in 24 HOURS. All at once, even if 325 mg in each tablet of percocet, that person HAS to goto the emergency room and unfortunately be given charcoal. The oxy probably won't kill them but will cause serious respiratory suppression/sedation. A one time dose of tylenol composing of more than 2400 mg is incredibly dangerous. I am sending best wishes to anyone who has done such a thing. Why I am not sure. Maybe in different countries oxy comes in 30 mg tabs. It does NOT in the US. Remember, liver failure-immediate with tylenol. I have seen it, and there is no reversal. Be safe.

the most i've taken is 5 5/325 percocets my first time. I got a stomach ache and went to bed. you should start your doeses smaller like 2-3.

Can potentially harm the liver if over 4g is taken in a 24hr period. Liver failure itself is possible but not likely. In 2004, researchers announced that an injection to counteract the liver injury caused by acetaminophen overdose has been approved by the FDA. If it is available as yet is not known to One.

This is not to say that taking more than 4g is ok, it is most definitely not. Especially all in one go. SWIM would recommend that if anyone were to do want to have that much Oxycodone that they perform a CWE to separate the APAP. This can be found by searching

. . . but remember that SWIM says a big NO to anyone wanting to take 240mg for their first time, this actually DOES have the potential to kill someone (opiate niave). The amount of Oxycodone is far more dangerous than the amount of acetaminophen.

Usually liver problems with Tylenol type products are a result of prolonged excessive consumption, especially when a person is taking Tylenol along with other medicines containing acetaminophen unknowingly.

SWIM has seen many people chew acetaminophen like candy and nothing happened other than him just shaking his head and walking away.

Very well put and informative. I saw that post and JUMPED on the keyboard, you know, the big 'help' and that's what I do so typed away. Oxy dose definitely lethal. I have seen and can count maybe 8 people - took average of 18-30 tylenol at one time, not regular tylenol users (apap folks) and it's what they 'had' and they were suicidal. Once emergent medical help/ER arrival, their liver enzymes were indicative of failure, and four ended up needing transplants. The others I have no record of. I think many just don't have a clue how lethal the acetaminophen can be , while at the same time knowing the problems that the oxycodone can cause. I need to learn never to ASSUME everyone has the same knowledge base. Bottom line---EXCELLENT POST!
