Other - "Spectrum"

I posted this in the MDMA forums and got no response so I figured I'd try here. Apparently in the mid-late 80's in the UK there was an odd MDMA variant called "Spectrum" being tossed around. Supposedly it was quite psychedelic. Have any SWIM's heard of this little known chemical/experienced its effects? I'd really like to know the proper chemical name.

Not too sure..but maybe it was 3,4-methylenedioxy-N-ethylamphetamine,(MDEA)???or MMDA...search wiki and theres a whole list of em..

Would melting walls and "strobe vision" as well as a completely psychedelicized color palette coincide with the effects of either of those substances?

Fox has vague recollections of some blotters round stonehenge that where quite large and very colourful, could have been these, no recolection around the effects....
