Milkdrop!

I did a search for "milkdrop" on the forum and it came back with no results! It is unarguably the best visualization plugin for winamp. I think this is one of my favorite things to watch sober or otherwise. If you all haven't seen it, you're definitely missing out.

http://www.milkdrop.co.uk

This is a site where you can download the plugin itself, and also lots of user-submitted presets. Presets are the patterns for the plugin. I think the user-submitted are the best presets. Just make sure all the files are in the main "milkdrop" folder in the winamp plugins folder.

Whoops, I didn't think about separating it into two words
In any case, I really hope that anyone who doesn't know it tries it.
And I hope that if anyone else has anything equally mind-blowingly
awesome that they let me know about it too!

it is excellent, great to stare at when coming up or down on a
trip. For E i almost prefer the winamp normal visualization, i
dont know why, more vivid like images if that makes sense. Like lava
flow looking things, i just like it more on E. Anything else is
milkdrop. I also reccomend nullsoft tiny fullscreen.

I THinkk that R4 is the best! You have to have a pretty good pc to run it though.

some friends and i ran some turntables through my computer and ran a
line in through winamp so we could run milkdrop to the turntables on two
lcd monitors set on top of two very large speakers with candles on
either side while tripping on 2c-i for easter <!--

reminds me of my badass idea. My thought was to put plexiglass or
a transparent sheet over a huge LCD screen that is flat on the
floor. Then play milkdrop and other cool plugins and use the
screens as dancefloors. how trippy would that be. Once i
start my own club, thats the first thing im doin. Now how badass
would that be for a rave huh? Always thought it would be
neat. We should make a "the perfect rave" thread and add ideas
for it. That or im just sedated on some valium and weed.
