Cokes ruined alcohol
SWIM has always loved drinking, in fact he'd probably go so far as to say it's one of his favourite drugs.
However, after trying coke whilst quite drunk a few times, he finds that somehow, it's just not the same. coke whilst sober doesn't interest him, and drinking without coke just seems like it's missing something ![]() It's a shame really, he's got the money to pay for coke easily every weekend, he just doesn't want to be in the situation that he needs one to enjoy the other. More ranting than asking for advice, although peoples thoughts on the situation would be nice

Re: Cokes ruined alcohol
Little fishy made the same association in his mind and ended up doing both together for quite a long period of time. Even when him and friends went to the pub on a week day with the intention of only drinking, after about 4-5 pints we could no longer resist the urge. This eventually lead to drinking until pub closing time then going back to one of their houses to carry on drinking, taking coke and playing computer games. As you can imagine this could extremely expensive the more it escalated and seriously affected work performance, when/if he went in.
Little fishy started to hate the person he had become and started to see all the negative aspects to his use, including the serious sickening effects it had on the relationship of his best friend and sister. He decided it was time to quit. Breaking the association was really hard, and he asked for help from his best friend and sister, when he got the temptation he would think of how disappointed they would be with him. Even then lemon fresheners in the urinals reminded him of coke. He found it takes 3 weeks of drinking Alcohol without coke to break that association. He did relapse a couple of times over the next year and found it took around the same 3 week period. Thankfully now everything has returned to normal and he can enjoy alcohol like he once used too. If it came to a choice between drugs for little fishy he would choose a nice cold pint of Stella every time, unless someone can create a drug like MDMA that doesn't loose it's magic over time. |
