Experiences - No trip after 2 tabs

Hey guys,

SWIM tried acid for the first time a couple of months ago and didn't trip after 2 tabs. It wasn't a problem with the acid itself as SWIM's friends tripped balls.

SWIM is getting her hands on some again next week and wonders if any of you have any advice on why it happened and how it could be avoided? SWIM's friends think it was some sort of psycological block but this seems unlikely as SWIM tripped hard on shrooms.

The only explanation swim can think of is that you either had a tolerance built up (did you do the schrooms a day or two before the acid? or that the tabs were fake... even if they are from the same sheet/dealer there is never any guarantee that they are the same... Try tripping with your friend from a bottle, then you can be sure that you have all had the same thing.

Swim is pretty sure there is not such thing as a psychological block preventing LSD from taking effect..

If SWIY think about the trip too much, SWIY can make it not work, a few friends of mine all took a tab and all 4 didnt feel a thing even though they knew that those tabs worked because they had worked before. LSD is all to do with SWIY, set and setting is very important. What frame of mind you are in is the most important. Where you do is also very important. If you take a tab then just sit there waiting for it to happen, chances are it may not work. Like watching a kettle boil. If you think about it too much it, could ruin your tab. LSD is all about the mind, and you control your mind. Next time SWIY takes a tab, i suggest you ingest and then think nothing of it, if its LSD then it will work, just turn on the tv and watch something light and easy, not too distressing incase you come up with out realising. Or if SWIY is with friends just sit and have a discussion, do something, eventually SIY should come up, if its LSD, it will work!

Mindset certainly affects the qualities of a trip, but i dont think its possible for mindset to prevent a trip from happening. Most likely explanation (in swims opinion) is your friends got stronger tabs. But we can't possibly say for certain.

For instance, if the blotter sheet was hung vertically, the liquid running off it would mean that the tabs at the top of the sheet would have a lower dosage than the tabs at the bottom. Maybe you were just unlucky and got the ones at the top.
