New Oxycodone / Alcohol Question - HELP

Hello,
I had previously posted a message regarding 'percocet' and alcohol.

I incorrectly said 'percocet' instead of 'immediate release oxycodone', which does not have tylenol in it.

I have been on 'immediate release oxycodone' for a couple of years, for back pain.

I am going to Las Vegas tonight, and am wondering if I will be ok to drink tonight?

I took the oxycodone at 8am this morning.

I will arrive in Vegas around 9pm tonight (same time zone).

Is that enough time to allow me to have just 1 drink? Or should I wait until tomorrow to drink?

All I want is just one Tequila Sunrise.

I know I am not supposed to mix alcohol with oxycodone.

Is there any kind of risk with me having the one drink?

If there is a risk, I can wait until tomorrow. I won't take the oxycodone tomorrow (Sat). Will I be ok to drink tomorrow?

I really wish I could have a drink tonight.

As far as I know my liver is fine. I had a complete blood count done about a year ago and it was fine then. All I have been on is the Immediate Release oxycodone for about 2 yrs. Oh it is 30 mg once a day, in the morning.

Let me know if I will be ok to have one drink tonight (about 12 hrs after I took the oxycodone)?

Or should I wait until tomorrow?

THANKS SO MUCH! I WILL KEEP CHECKING MY EMAIL.

Take care!
The Fisherman

Re: New Oxycodone / Alcohol Question - HELP

My friend thinks ONE drink will be fine. Now that being said he's not a doctor, but someone who has been in that situation many times, and thinks you won't do any damage to your liver if its functioning normally.

One drink will be no problem given SWIFish's history - either for the liver or for the danger of coma
