checking into a methadone clinic...

hey everyone this is gona be swims first time tryin a methadone clinic
swim used to be on suboxone and was goin to a suboxone docter who had swim goin to 2 times a week meetings with oter addicts but swim ended up havin problems with the docter and quit because swim was getting sick from wut swim thinks was tha noxalone in the pill but tha docter thoght it was all bullshit(rude ass old man) and wanted me to keep takin 8mg a day so swm quit and relasped... o welll thats OPIATE life with withdrals..and everything you all kno how it is when you dont have your pills..super painfull the pain swim goes threw because of swims high mg habbit and long term use IS HELL swim would rather be dead then have to go threw full blown withdrals..
that was 3 months ago swims been lastin on 80 mg ocs and 100mcg fentanyl patchs but swim just hates waitin on someone all day2 get it and is just tired of it all..swim hasent takin anything in 2days and is in super amounts of pain and anxiety so swims tring this methadone clinic neer swim swim doesnt kno wut to expect or if it will be any like tha last place swim hopes he dosent have to go everyday to get his meds does any one have any experience with thes places or how they work?..

I wish you the very best of sucess with this! I don't have much experience, if any with methadone myself but am a codeine addict at high doeses and have played with oxy and been burned, so i know a bit of what you go through. Many and for you!

Been there done that-methadone will enable you to get your life back. One starts living the way you lived before the crazy insanity of PAIN KILLERS! Stay on 40mgs a day then taper down 6 mos. later. It works!

SWIM has been a patient at a methadone clinic. The way it normally works is you will have to go every day, take your dose and leave. They will start SWIMs dose accordingly based on your tolerance and will gradually increase it with time. Once SWIM had been going for a while, they started letting me come two times per week, then eventually once and so on and on. SWIM had to take drug tests regularly and speak with a counselor once a week. If SWIM missed a few days, his counselor would get agravated with him. SWIM drove 100 miles round trip every morning, gladly. SWIM thinks it is a good program and has seen a few people taper all the way off. SWIM would suggest keeping ones dose as low as possible and wouldn't abuse other drugs while on it. If I remember correctly, the price was about $12 USD per day which was a bargain considering it would take $100 USD in street medicine and it didn't ast near as long. The methadone should keep you comfortable. Hope this helps.

The done will get SWIY buzzed/sedated but coming from someone who has been there your quality of life will suffer. That's the way done works and the clinics too.
You have to remember they are a BUSINESS and you are a NUMBER. They want you hooked and happy. When SWIM finally got tired of it running his life down after 9 months being on 100mgs done. They were desperate to keep SWIM in there and let me tell you something! If SWIyou thinks junk is hard to quit Methadone is the GRANDADY MONSTER to kick. See, done is "Methylated". When a substance is methylated it causes those molecules to be near impossible for the body to break down by the normal liver routes. Basically the liver can't break it down well. Done gets all into your bones and every part of your body AND STAYS THERE..
IMO it is an evil concoction and SWIM wishes someone would have beat some sense into me before I made the decision to take it. Oh yeah and your sex life will be dead, at least SWIMs was for 9 months, this is an almost universal side effect among others. Just be educated on what you are getting urself into. G

thanks for the info everyone swim went to the clinic havin called the place a day before they said come in and SWIM did and guess wut! the docter wasent in and they said swims gona have to just come back in a few days.. whens hes back bullshit! swim said so wut am swim supposted to do untill then??? withdral like a mothafucka? relapse? god dammit stupid docter..swim ended up relapsing because swim had to the pain was to much.. ended up bein one of thos clinics that u go 2 everyday and get your done dose swims dosent like this method.. yah seems great but swim travels alot! and canT manage to get there everyday for a dose that lasts 24 hours..swims gona keep lookin for a docter that can prescribe..tha last thing swim is gona do is go back to swims old asshole suboxone docter..it just sucks having to keep looking and waiting for docters costing swim alot of money and time..in pain

Find a GOOD sub doc that will prescribe a month at a time, they are usually dicks and want you to come in at least once a week. Trust me bro, if swiy can help it don't do the done, it really is awful stuff.
