Drug info - What is Legal and Illegal?

Swim is confused about various cleaning substances and their legality and availability. A cursory search of the internet provides the appearance that one can legally order gamma butyrolactone from both Europe and the US.

Similarly, 1.4 Butanediol appears to be legally available. GBL appears to be legal for cleaning purposes in 46 of the 50 states.

Swim wants to make certain that this is the case. In addition, if swim is living in one of the states where GBL is legal, swim would like to know if other members can suggest a legal source for wheel cleaner that has an effective product and reliable product.

If swim is mistaken about the legality of GBL and 1.4, then please correct swim and disregard his request for a legal provider.

Swim has answered part of his question; it appears GBL is illegal, in spite of the fact that Googling the substance makes it appear that it is not.

Past posts on this forum make it appear that 1.4 is legal in 46 states. If swim is correct about that, the question of reliable vendors still obtains.

If a substance is legal, is it against the rules? That would be the equivalent of saying I can't tell you where to get a deal on a Chevy.

If it is illegal, of course it should be against the rules of the forum.

yeah i never got it, but for some reason prices/sources can't be discussed beyond "go to walmart and bring a ten, it won't cost more than that" this isn't relevant for your question

i know that using any product in a manor other than it is intended is illegal and right there any chemical mentioned in the original post would be illegal to abuse in the united states
