Dose - Absolutely Clueless! Hydrocodone question

I had a surgery earlier this month on my ear, and I got a hydrocodone prescription. I have a bunch leftover and no more pain in the surgery site either. I want to have a little fun but I'm not sure it's worth it. Basically I want to know how to read the labeling on the bottle:
HYDROCODONE/APAP 5/325MG TAB

I am assuming it's only 5mg of hydro per tablet? This is really low dosage, isn't it? What would be the best way to get some high from them - swallowing, or is snorting any more effective?

Sorry, I am very clueless and I don't usually take opiates otherwise.. I just have a bunch leftover and don't want them to go to waste!

yes that's 5 mg of hydrocodone and 325mg of acetaminophen (tylenol). usually a recreational dosage is from 15-25 mg of hydrocodone. and acetaminophen can be toxic if consumed in large quantities (over 1,500mg at one time or 4,000mg over the course of a day). Swallowing is a very effective method for administering them. Chewing the pills and letting them dissolve in your mouth or letting then dissolve in water and swallowing will allow the effects to come on faster.

Also, snorting is highly not recommended as it contains so much acetaminophen

Also Gelly, please read the rules - do not incriminate yourself. I realize these are prescribed to you but you are also talking about snorting them and it is a good idea to always use "SWIM" (Someone Who Isn't Me) or "FOAF" (Friend Of A Friend) something like this.

Swiy could attempt a cold water extraction. But as long as swiy has a good liver/kidneys and isn't chronically taking anything else, swiy could probably take up to 1000mg of tylenol on a one-time basis, giving some time for recovery afterwards. Shouldn't cause permanent damage.

Thanks for the help and info, guys! I have visited this forum before, read tons of threads and the one time I post, I completely forget to use the SWIM/SWIY replacements. I should have, my bad - But I'm not very worried. Seeing as these pills are not too strong in dosage & I don't want to take too much acetaminophen just to get a good kick out of the pills I will not even be making any attempts to Thanks again!
