Effects - Adderall groggyness

Swim is currently perscribed 50mg a day and has tried every dose/combination possible. 2 years ago it worked wonders for him. now it seems when he takes his adderall it causes him to be severely tired and zombie like and just want to lay there with is eyes closed unable to sleep or move. Swim takes his medication on average three days a week because without it will not be able to get through school. He made terrible mistakes and heavily abused mdma for the past year finally ending a few months ago when he realised the severe mental problems he was having. servere short term memories issues, losing everything he touched stopping in middle of sentences, he also seems to be only be able to space out and stare because of the heavy mdma use. i think this might have somethign to do with the groggyness of the adderall because it never used to happen before the heavy x use. and he doesnt think its a tolerance because he has taken a few month breaks form it and upon the first day taking it experiences the same problem. Swim also just rememebered to add that from his mdma use now has a permanent sick headed feeling/ headache(more like a brain pressure) that hasnt gone away with two months of sobritey. any idea? i would also liek to add that im new here and hello everyone
