Combinations - First Time LSD (Alcohol and Marijuana)

Tommorow nite swim is supposed to get acid at a party where theres going to be drinking and a ton of weed swim is curious if it would be better to drink and smoke and then take acid or will either of those mess up swim's trip?
any comments would help

Given that SWIY has absolutely no experience with this powerful psychotropic, it would seem judicious to cultivate an understanding of how it will affect his mind and his body before concocting drug cocktails.

Not only this, but a party setting is not conducive to a pleasant LSD experience. The effects LSD renders are highly variable and heavily dependent on setting and state of mind. The entropy and confusion of a party environment may yield amplified confusion under the influence of LSD. Alcohol, being a CNS depressant, may only compound this confusion, as well as interfere with the formation of explicit memories (which may be unfavorable if SWIY intends to remember his first LSD experience).

I highly recommend that SWIY embarks upon his first sojourn into the LSD realm in a more controlled environment and without the potential complications of other drugs. Also, I would speculate that alcohol may blunt the effects of LSD and obscure the clarity of the experience.

Of course, it is simply a matter of personal preference and I do not know what SWIY seeks in his experimentation.

Swim had thought as much about the alcohol but swim thought the weed might help him relax so as to make for a more pleasant trip. But the "party" swim is going to is really laid back with only 5 friends who swim has known for years.

While cannabis allows some to relax, it amplifies anxiety in others. This may be a matter of understanding how cannabis will affect SWIY. If cannabis regularly facilitates relaxation in SWIY, it may complement LSD well. I would certainly advise against the use of alcohol, however.

SwiM thinks that swiY should stay away from alcohol. While it might not be in itself harmful, psychedelics seem to always outwit alcohol and as a result a person can seem quite sober (from the alcohol anyways) when under the influence of them.

Pot and psychedelics has a more interesting relationship. It may enhance the experience, you may feel more relaxed, you may feel more anxiety, it may be good or it may be bad. What swiM will say is for swiY to not use pot right before taking the psychedelic, and wait until swiY feels comfortable with the tripping experience before toking up.

SwiM used to know this one kid that would faint when smoking pot while on mushrooms. The kid had no problem when either was taken separately but together they would cause a very strange reaction. After researching, apparently it is a relatively common happening. Now LSD might not be this way but it is worth noting as a potential risk to mixing, especially on swiY's first experience.

Also, if the trip is going badly, swiM doesn't recommend using pot to alleviate those symptoms. Good friends are the best medicine for a bad trip.
