Opinions - Having alot of problems with perscription

Ever since I was a kid ive had learning problems..In and out of the principals office and in and out of special needs classes. I knew I was always smart I just always had problems concentrating but I grew up in the late 70's early 80's when the whole Ritalin thing wasn’t really wide spread. Looking at my life now and not being able to hold a job for more than a few weeks due to extreme frustration because I live in a fog and get frustrated and think everyone thinks im stupid so I freak out and leave..I knew it was time to do something about this, im 32 and need to get this figured out..My father is the same way, you try to tell him something and it’s like he's blank till u get in his face and tell him again then he gets mad and frustrated. Conversations take a lot of effort for me to piece together sometimes, but im a wiz with trivia, useless information and multiple choice tests..It’s a difficult thing to describe. I have chronic fatigue as well..Now for years ive been prescribed a onslaught of anti-depressants and ssri's that haven’t done a thing for me and I just went to my family DR today and guess what..MORE ANTI-DEPRESSENTS!! He won’t prescribe me what I need and would rather have me waste my money on something that doesn’t work and make me more spaced out..Im kind of at a loss because I don’t want to live this way anymore especially knowing that there are drugs out there to help me..I guess my question is how can I get a cheep prescription for Ritalin or adderall online or otherwise?? Is there anything I can say to a DR at a clinic to get me what I need without him giving me another mix of useless pills?..Ohh BTW im from Canada if that makes any difference..

Tell the doctor you have been prescribed countless anti-depressants. List them off, including dosages, the period you were taking them, side-effects you experienced etc. If you know anti-depressants will not help you it is up to you to convince your doctor of this. Likewise, if you feel that methylphenidate may help you, suggest it to him. You've tried pretty much everything else and nothing has worked.

By the way, you're not alone. My Tree is in a similar boat to you, although he managed to stay relatively unnoticed by teachers so he never had to experience a remedial class.
