Drug info - Amph/Speed and Meth

Okay, I have been thinking about this for a while now. And Im not sure about this, so Im asking you. I have looked around the forum, and a little on the net in general, but I cant really find what Im looking for. What really is the difference between meth and amphetamin/speed?

Generally, all amphetamines and amphetamine-like drugs are considered speed.

A very short explanation of the difference would be that methamphetamine is amphetamine with the added 'methyl' group which allows it to pass the blood brain barrier much more rapidly. This of course leads to a more pronounced rush/euphoria.

There's a ton of different amphetamines, and meth is just one of them. But most people will encounter will actually be a mix of salts, like aderall, or especially in the old days it was psuedoaphetamine, or the benedrex inhalers.

In the UK, brits have base, it's a white paste with a dodgy smell.
Used with respect, a bit, the size of a match-head, injested orally, will keep the user up for 48hrs plus.
This stuff breaks minds, and teeth.

Thomas's cousin has never come across meth, but thinks, if base (much much weaker than meth) isn't strong enough, then there is an amphet addiction waiting to happen.
Thomas's cousins supply of base ran out, and there was no decent sources, so he had to go without.
After a week or so, depression set in.
Shortly after, the decent base showed up, but the cousin was so frightened off by the severe depression, his first thought was, @What about when the next shit runs out?' he was unbearably depressed as it was, so depressed, he even lost the enthusiasm for base.
