Other - Traveling with online-prescription meds?

A friend of a friend bought some butalbital/caffeine/acetaminophen from an online pharmacy & they say they will b going 2 visit the fams via airplane, & the prescription came in a legit-lookin bottle with a doctors name, address, etc..

Would this legit-lookin bottle pass any inspection at the airport if it was in this friend's bag (not a carry on)?

I have never had anyone even pick my pill bottle up and look at it whie flying. I always empty everything out of my pockets and into the plastic bin including my prescription bottles. The security folks see them but have never once said anything about them. I don't fly that often, maybe 4 times a year or so but i woudn't expect a problem. I keep mine in my pocket because Im afraid someone that checks the luggage will steal them !

SWIM is not sure if this helps but SWIM recently traveled out of the country with Morphine,Xanax,Diazapam,and a few other meds.Even though they are prescribed to SWIM he was still a bit nervous. He just kept the meds in the bottles in his carry on.The bag went through the scanner and that was that.No questions or anything.Take into consideration all the people that travel with other medical problems,I'm sure if the packageing looks ligit then SWIY should have no problems keeping them in your pocket or carry on.

Yea this friend of a friend def realizes taking an illegal online-pharmacy's "prescription" into an airport is not without risks, but always assumed they didn't search every bag, but only the sketch lookin 1s, which is why ppl SWIM kno's hav gotten away with taking knives & or guns (hunting) in their luggage (not carry ons), then again this was all b4 911 tho.

The bottle looks pretty legit except it's a big ass 90 count bottle. & no, this friend of a friend does not have a legit prescription 4 this drug & uses it only 4 recreational purposes/ occasional anxiety & as a public speaking aid.
