In the uk its not so much the crystal meth thats available but just bog standard speed, although swim has heard of some people who have had it -was just wondering why we are'nt as into crystal meth over here and if its a cultural difference or what?

If base isn't enough anymore, then as far as phet addiction goes, there aint a lot of hope for you baby.
Y had a base addiction, and thinks the worst part is the days when he couldn't get base.
Y cannot take base due to depression right now, and knows a bomb will piss him off.
Y thinks its the days after the high, which are actualy putting him off base.

Meth can only be worse on the off days.

As for the UK, Y dosen't know if meth is slowly creeping into the base, say, as an ingredient. Y had some pretty good/mad base last year, that was a bit too nice. Y is glad that shit is gone.

haha -hmmm thamks for the feedback and know what Y means -swim gets the same way the come-downs are what swim isnt too good at handling! hope everything works out ok for y though! Is y on any anti-depressant medication?

Sorry, Y has only just seen this post.
Y is not on antidepressant meds, but has had them in the past.
Y thinks they were as useful, mentaly, as a speed comedown.

Five months or so late, I know, but Y has not had speed, he got so fed up with the depression in the inevitable days when he couldnt score, he cannot face it.

Y has no desire to try meth, as he is confident the depression and addiction will be even worse than the recent arse-kicking base gave him.
He is just curious intellectually.
Some 'base' Y had in the past, from different batches had different buzzes.
Y hopes meth dosen't take off in the UK to be honest, after having spoken to people online where it is rife. People who Y has known a few years online, people right in the thick of it Aus/US

I'd guess it has to do with population density making it difficult to start labs up. Meth labs are by and large messy and capable of attracting a lot of attention. In the US, meth seems to concentrate in the Mid-west where there is a lot of open space and it is possible to set up a lab no one will notice for some time. From my understanding in the UK, most people are living in relatively close proximity and there isn't a whole lot of open space. Factor in the ease of availability of ingredients favoring small, rural, towns, it's not surprising that it's easier to find in the country with more people living father from each other.

Yes, I've heard it's all over the place in some parts of S.E. Asia, but there you need to factor in the security provided by jungle and the different law enforcement culture. There are numerous other factors at work here, but I frankly don't feel like a multi-page essay that I'm sure would get me flamed.
