Effects - Oxazepam compared to Clonazepam?

swim has one 30 mg tablet of oxazepam and wants to take it. swim only has experience with clonazepam whats the diff?

well oxazepam is prescribed for most users in 15 mg's a day 2-3 times a day. 30 mg's would probably be roughly 1 mg of clonazepam. it has like a 14 hour half live and a very high bioavailability. it is commonly prescribed in australia.

try popping that pill and drinking a beer or two, if SWIY ain't tolerant it should be pretty nice relaxation kind of high. good way to wind down they day, no blackout or loss of memory or nothing

yea honestly on its own it will be very mild if anything. swim would take it with about 2-3 beers. NO MORE. in fact swim alsmot never condones the combo of benzos plus alcohol as it is very, very dangerous but if ONLY those amounts are ingested MAX swiy should be ok.

never got anything out of oxazepam, per se Swim's cat is a pretty experienced benzo afficionado. Cat got a script of 6 10mg capsules to help ease a flight about to be taken. Needless to say, the cat at the lot of them in one sitting and didn't report anything fantastic. Maybe for people hypersensative. BUt studies involving people with past benzo misue were unable to distinguish between oxazepam and placebo. Can't say the kitte's every tried potentiation.

Clonazepam causes euphoria and /or a very cosy, relaxing feeling to many
users.
The effects of Oxazepam are rather tranquilizing, SWIM would call it "Diazepam light".

Going a bit deeper into benzo chemistry: Clonazepam has an electrones
attracting atome at the phenyl-group where some benzos have not such
atomes.
It is known that adding chloride or fluorine at that position will potentiate
certain of the typical benzo effects; the sedative effect is potentiated, in
some benzos the chances of having amnesia is higher.

Clonazepam chemically seen is Nitrazepam, which got slightly altered by
adding a Chloride atome to the phenyl-group. The fact that they both are
chemically nearly identical could explain why they both work well when used
to treat seizures.

Oxazepam in SWIM's opinion is the benzo that should be prescribed by
responsible physicians when they decide that a benzo seems to be the first
choice in treatment. Oxazepam of course will lead to addiction like any other
benzo, but to most users is less seductive than Lorazepam or Alprazolam.
If Oxazepam doesn't help then the doc still could switch to Lorazepam, Brom-
azepam or Alprazolam.

But still there are users that like Oxazepam for recreational use.
