Health - Can test tell difference?

swim is prescribed different types of morphine, say 30er 1x day, and 4 30 ir for breakthru. if they get another type from a friend, most likely a malli 100 or something, would this show up the same as all the other types of morphine or can they test for specifically what brand/type is prescribed. on the sheet of drugs to check if taking, there's morphine, morphine sulfate, ms contin and MSIR..also OxyIR,oxycodone, oxycontin and percocet-just for an example of showing that they have like all the different versions of the drug.. not sure if these are just there so the patient/employee can check off what they are prescribed(therefore if they show up they are all the same) or because they want to know exactly what you've checked because they can tell the differences between them all. if anyone has any experience with this please help. thanks!

Not sure about the particulars of the brands you mention, but certainly methadone, mst, heroin, and dhc all show up differently. All are opiates/opioid and morphine based, but the chemical composition is different.

Unless they have a reason to extensively test it which would be very expensive through lab testing, all the different types of morphine pills would show up the same. The extended release morphine is just morphine made to last longer than the instant release (can't think of specifics right this minute). Even if they take it to the lab, I still doubt that they can determine which type of morphine pills one had (all they can tell is that they had morphine)

I doubt they could tell the difference between the various brands of morphine. They're all morphine sulfate. They probably could tell the difference between morphine and oxycodone though.

SWIMs' own testin shows up various morphine. As in Heroin, dhc, codine and morphine specific (think this is MST and such). Methedone comes up seperate too. SWIM gets oral/saliva testing.
