Drug info - Modafinil and alcohol, benzos

SwIm has taken 200 mg of Modafinil today, and it was kind of dissapointing. SWIm have a hard time calming down, contrary to the drug's profile. So he took 1 mg of kpin, 20 of valium and three beers, which worked so far.

Has anyone else tried this combo? Would redosing with modafinil be a good idea?

What is SWIY trying to accomplish?

Taking 200 mg of Modafinil simply to "calm down" seems counterproductive. If by "calm down" you mean relax and clean the house, fine. If you meant classic depressant effects, then you certainly will be left lacking.

What is SWIY's impressions of Modafinil's effects? Has SWIY taken Modafinil before?

What SWIM meant was that Modafinil left Swim a bit jittery, and Swim took some benzos to calm down.

SwIm then drank a couple of beers, and now swIm am somewhat tired, but interested in Modafinil's potential, so swIm was wondering whether taking some more would complement the beer and benzo, or simply just being overpowered by the depressants. Not looking for any major effects, this is just out of curiousity.

SWIM has not used Modafinil with alcohol, and only in reasonable (sub 400 mg) quantities, so take SWIM's comments with a grain of salt.

SWIM finds the action of Modafinil relatively mild, and mostly related to perception of fatigue. SWIM would estimate that another modafinil would likely reduce the depressant effects SWIY appears to be seeking, without a significant increase in desireable stimulant effects (ie euphoria).

In short, a more classic amphetamine may be what SWIM is looking for rather than a new generation medication such as Modafinil.
