SWIM takes aderall and valum for anxiety and extreme ADHD
are they safe to take at the same time of the day and what are the side effects?

I'm also curious as to what mental illness they both partly treat.

I don't see to many reasons to take Amb. and Add. at the same time, but there are no reasons to avoid mixing Valium and Adderall, just as long as the doses of each when combined are not significantly greater than when the drugs are taken in isolation. Valium and Adderall can be fairly enjoyable, in fact.

Valium (diazepam in the parlance) is a benzodiazapine used to treat anxiety (though decreasingly). It acts by mimicking a neurotransmitter called GABA.

Adderall is Shire's stupid brand name for a formulation of amphetamine. It is used to treat ADD/ADHD.
