Re: Liquid Morphine
Lies when I say...
I first came across morphine in liquid form legally in the UK (a dilute solution with 20mg / 100ml could and still can be brought over-the-counter at pharmacies ) and the first dose I tried was 20mg. This was insufficient. I doubled that to 40mg and found that an ideal dose for euphoria. There was a little alcohol, and chloroform in the stuff, and , to this day, it remains the most euphoric opiate I've ever used (far more pleasant than injecting heroin, or industrial strength methadone/oxycodone/etc.) but that's just me. Others have tried 40mg and vomited. Others might need more. There's never a one-size-fits all answer.
I've never had immediate release morphine pills, and most morphine pills are like MST, i.e. sustained release. You will get a much better buzz from the liquid than from equivalent dose MST tablets. Even chewed etc. MSTs I found disappointing, but maybe more because I was taking silly doses (200mg+) of methadone at the time, so even 2000mg+ of morphine (chewed MST 100s and 200s) never really hit the spot. 2000mg would hold me for a day, but that was about it. Oral morphine will be at least as good as the quickest dissolving immediate release pill.
Oh and please, please be careful. Opiates do bite back; it takes longer than many think, and that possibly contributes to many thinking how clever and unique they are by using for such-and-such a time without establishing a habit. Long-term frequent opiate use ---> habit . Treat that statement as inevitable as letting go of thing ---> thing falls. It's that deterministic.

P.S. looking elsewhere it seems that 40mg is a fairly high neophyte dose. Better to err on the side of caution and start with 20mg. If you feel nothing significant within an hour or so take another 20mg. Chances are 20mg will work.
