fent patches
So swim got the mylan fent patch, cut it into a piece and put it under swims dogs tongue. Swims dog got a little euphoric but not much and a lot nauseous. SWIM has done oxycodone and demerol before and got much more euphoric and never had nausea. Is fent known for more nausea and less euphoria. Also what can swim use for nausea and is there a way to increae euphoria? thanks much.

The only time my dog did fent, it was squeezed from the patch onto aluminum and smoked. Euphoria ensued, and the worst side effect was the worst opiate itch he had ever had, poor fella.
Fentanyl is a very powerful drug and it is very difficult to gauge what dose one is getting from a 72 hr patch. Your guy might have just had to much and gotten sick, which is easy to do. Also, some pooches are more prone to get sick from synthetic opiates, such as methadone and fentanyl, than semi-synthetic, which most pain pills categorize under. Fentanyl Citrate has a very short half-life so it is recommended to do small doses repeatedly to obtain desired effects. Pot always calms the stomach, also ginger, or good ol' pepto work for some. A light snack/meal after dosing helps his onset and minimizes nausea. Also a warning, two of my friends dogs died from eating unknown quantities of patch gel, separate incidents. Be smart and take care of your pets and yourself. |

Re: fent patches
thanks, swims patches are mylan so no gel and as a result no gel eating. These patches seem kinda crappy in swims opinion though.

Re: fent patches
There are several posts on fentanyl here but all i can do is urge extreme caution when playing with these things, they are probably the most dangerous prescription pain killer available. The doses we are talking about are so minute that judging them by eye is impossible, judging things in the milligram range is practically impossible but on the microgram range it's just completely infeasible.
