I found a 1000mg L-Lysine supplement at the store today. If that is taken with 20mg Adderall will the lysine become covalently attached to amphetamine at some point in the stomach (turning it in to a pro-drug, thus increasing its duration)?
I don't know enough about valence and thought someone might know the answer to this right away. Thanks! |

Re: Will an OTC L-Lysine supplement taken with Adderall increase duration?
Swibf can't see any reason for that seeing how Lysine is not a component in the biosynthesis of dopamine or serotonin; tyrosine however is in the case of dopamine. Even though dopamine will be me readily replenished during the ups and downs one would simply be enjoying a smoother and more glorious ride, arriving at a less than hellish destination still at the same time.
