Just clearing up...

I quote this from something i read. based on what else he said it seemed to me he knew his stuff. but..

"Ecstacy will burn out your seratonin receptors so that you will be depressed for the rest of your life and no amount of prosac can help you (no kidding)"

Is this at all true? i thought if too much E was taken in a short period of time it could cause temporary depression because of the depletion of seratonin, which would eventually go back to normal in time...

is what he said at all true? i don't recall reading that anywhere else :S

thanks for any help!

Re: Just clearing up...

We can try to debate someone until we turn blue - there is no truth to this regards typical usage. Both low-end use, and dumb-kid raving every other day for a year or three. Most people find the effects are gone, and go do something else. I can't speak for total idiots who eat gram after gram after gram. There are a few that made the news. They don't seem depressed - they seem burned-out with inability to focus on much. This is expected from people who use - hard-core - amphetamines for years.

I've known many people who were eating the stuff weekly for as long as several years. Now, many years later, they are fine. They all quit as the magic had worn off. This is what usually happens - the MDMA stops giving the person the desired effect. So they stop and take stock of themselves.

There have been government propaganda campaigns stating the "depressed forever" story. They are found to be untrue - often based on some study that was found to be ridiculously screwed-up. Or just outright lies. Once no one believes one BS story, the government cooks up a new one. If this story is out again, it may indicate the paid liars are running out of ideas.

off topic: @ panthers, did swiy ever take mdma like 4 times 1 month and then lay off for about 1 - 2 months? If so, does swiy remeber how it was when swiy started again?
