Dose - first time user dose

What would be a good dose for SWIM to try first time who has no opiate tolerance as hasnt used any in a few months. He does not want to 'phase out', but is hoping for a nice buzz and a functional high.

Don't worry, he plans to attempt his first CWE too, and knows about the damaging effects of apap.

I think anywhere between 60-120mg would be a relatively sane dose for SWIY to take. SWIY should do some research though and factor in any medications SWIY's taking and various other things that might potentiate or inhibit it.

Assuming lots of space for error in the CWE since it is his first time practicing it.. would he be safe to assume 150-200mg of possible codeine combination tablets yield a solution of around 100 mg?

He is also wary how he can be sure that the APAP has been removed from the solute and is slightly wary of this.

It really depends on too many things for me to be able to approach giving an accurate answer (the pills, the filters, temperature, duration etc.). If SWIM was SWIY I think he'd try around 120-160mg. CWE isn't that difficult to do right and I don't think the amount of codein lost is as much as SWIY thinks.

He is also wary how he can be sure that the APAP has been removed from the solute and is slightly wary of this.

AFAIK the only way to tell short of having access to a lab is by the amount of sludge left in the filter and the clarity of the resulting liquid (clearer is better obv.). If you aren't happy the first time round you can always filter it again.

He has 1 more question before he attempts this in around 8 hours. Apart from coffee filter paper, which is proving hard to find for SWIM, what things around the house can be used as a filter? SWIM read that a tight cloth can be used, will this work?

Let us also assume that swiy could achieve 90% one off fluke first time C.W.E,Decide what dose swiy wants and then add 10%-15%
Remember also swiy only wants a nice buzz,Swim would agree 120mg for a complete opiate newbie is plenty to start with "Also swiy could have (a- duplicate CYP2D6 enzime)??Always start low and at the worst swimmers will loose £0.65 of codeine.

Swiy Destiny_JL when you have finished C.W.E. put the glass back into the fridge for about 30-45 mins if there is any paracetamol left in the liquid most of it will remain on the bottom of the glass,Decant and the problem is solved..just swim...Q's thoughts!

Swiy can use any clean thin cotton, T-shirt worst case, cottonwool inside a small plastic bag cut tiny slits ie with fork,if using this method make sure swiy swills 1-2 times also dont pack wool to tightly,worst of the worst if no way to filter=decant use little extra liquid say 3.5mls per pill,when very cold ie 1-2c slowly pour liquid into another glass,put that glass back into fridge for 30 mins and if needed repreat..save sludgey water until you have filters....Decanting expect only 50%-60% return..

SWIM wants to echo what jon-q wrote and also add that SWIY should be able to find coffee filters in most supermarkets. SWIM knows for certain they sell them at his local Morrisons, for instance.

SWIM just got round to trying his CWE now.. he used 16 CC tablets with 8mg codeine in each, and estimates he had a yield of roughly 100-120mg codeine. The water was 95% clear so he is happy that there was only a very small APAP content left.

He ingested the solution about 30 mins ago and is feeling sedated and the 'warm' feeling people describe from opiates, no euphoria as of yet, and also no side effects.
