Effects - Speed?

Hi
Last night (Saturday) swim bought a gram off his dealer(newly recruited) of what was meant to be coke. Swim was already rediculously drunk and had reason to believe what he'd bought was coke. Sunday morning swim had some left and shared with his friend at work. An hour or so before swim finished work, swim started to feel really shit, very depressed. (Not fiending for more though). After work swim went for a drive, got a kfc (felt hungry) although whilst eating it began to feel sick. Now swim can't sleep although very tired, feels very very depressed, feels like swims head is about to bloody explode! Swim has work soon but at this rate will be a no-show.
My question is, is this effects of speed? Swim can't really remember the effects he was feeling last night although didn't really feel any effects with todays consumption. Didn't have any problems sleeping from what swim can remember.
Also if these are speed effects, how long will it last?
Any help is appreciated. thanks
p.s. swim hasn't spoke to his friend yet so don't know what effects he's feeling...

Sounds like a hangover from mostly alcohol.

Trust Swim, you can sometimes get a NASTY hangover out of the blue. Swim used to drink more often, and one day he woke with a murderous headache and hangover like you described. Swim had to call out that day as well, as well as spend the day in bed.

How sure are you that it is amphetamine? What makes you think it's speed?

Did it numb swiy's face at all or burn when snorted?

Numbing yes, swim doesn't remember burning though as he's always nailing coke so doesn't seem to notice it that much anymore..
Swim just woke up, managed to sleep eventually, no depressive thoughts as of yet. Just feel abit tired still, think swim is gonna take the day off work anyhow.
Swim was once given speed (unaware of it) and felt very much like he did last night whilst coming down which gave him the reason to believe it was speed.. Nah he says it was nothing like an alcohol hangover, too psychological to be an alcohol hangover he says.

Speed wouldn't numb swiy's face..and I'd imagine the comedown would be somewhat similar. Plus, alcohol intensify's the effects of coke. And hangovers can be pretty psychological, along with coke comedown. Maybe it was just laced with speed? The numbing makes it sound unlikely though.

Swim finds it impossible to sleep after clubbing on speed it would be 8-9 in the morning before swim can sleep.Coke on the other hand doesnt last that long.

Could be a hangover from many different substances. We can't really pinpoint what it was.

Pure amphetamine does not numb, but many people push amp + benzocaine or similar anesthetics to create fake cocaine. Many assume this combo is coke and never know better. Some even complain doing cocaine coming from amphetamine.

Swim knows both coke and amp rip the hell out of him every time. The drain is so bad he won't even bother doing either anymore. Comedown/hangover/crash not worth it for him.
