Thumbs down Cocaine damage/infection of the soft palate?

SWIM uses cola regularly (daily, 1g and up) and has started getting problems with the soft palette at the back of his throat.
SWIM feels like something is stuck behind it even several days after use (SWIM has not used for 3 days now).
SWIM gags and retches and sometimes yellow phelgm or lumps dislodge and are spat out or swallowed. It is made worse by smoking (cigarettes) or drinking anything other than cold water.

Is this an infection, weird cut or overuse?

Has SWIY experienced this or knows a way to stop it?

Re: Cocaine damage/infection of the soft palate?

1. If you could persuade your friend to take cola more responsibly maybe you could avoid them damaging their health in the longer term.

2. IMHO, what your friend describes maybe due to the fact that cola irritates and inflames the soft tissues at the back of the throat, often giving the impression there is something stuck there, coughing and fussing will only further this inflamation. This easily becomes a vicious cycle, and can get quite compulsive after a session on cola.

3. see point 1.

As first posts go... this is the best one I have come across in a long time. Good advice.
