Oral use - Tussionex or Prometh. w/Codeine

SWIM's MD is about to Rx him one of these two syrups for a deep cough. SWIM knows that Tussionex (hydro in syrup form) has definite rec. value, but is unsure if Prometh/Codiene (the "Syzzurp" so popular w/ Lil' Wayne etc would be of any use to him, mainly because his opiate tolerance is fairly high (60 mgs oxy or 70mgs hydro are needed to produce good fx)
SWIM is praying for Tussionex, but if he gets the other, should he even bother attempting to use it as anything but cough medicine?

tussinex is not good because it's packed with anti-histamines which make it hard to abuse. if you are like me and need 50-60mg of hydro for a good buzz you would have to take dangerously high amounts of whatever anti-histamine is in the syrup.

ask for hycodan or hycomine. it's just hydrocodone in liquid form.

codiene cough syrup, in swim's experience, definitely has some rec. value, but it would require a higher dose, especially if there is a pre-existing tolerance. swim has been prescribed yellow hydrocodone and purple codiene syrups, and prefers the yellow. that is not to say the purple wouldn't have any effect; it just requires a higher dose, so be careful no to OD. also, a dab of the purple can be wiped on a cig and smoked for a nice buzz.

Depends. Swim has a higher tolerance to opioids from mental tolerance, but Swim still gets effects from codeine. It's all what works for Swiy.

If you get a syrup with lots of antihistimate, make sure to find a way to extract the opioids. OD on antihistimines is dangerous and not a good idea. Make sure to ask for something that's just the active subtance Swiy wants. TheNewLeft's post is good here. Look up brands without junk in them.

Generally, the hydrocodone syrup will more useful for one with a tolerance.
