Quitting non-addictive drugs stories

So, Monkey has decided to quit all drugs for two weeks (after just having a summer where most nights were taken up with the (ab)use of something or other) and stop smoking weed for a month (after smoking roughly once very three days). Monkey doesn't take many stimulants any more, apart from the odd bit of MDMA, but mainly takes psychedelics.

Although the first few days weren't really very fun, and he ended thinking about drugs contantly - which hasn't happened since he first started out with his experimentation.
He now finds that although he still thinks about getting mashed a lot, planning what he'll do when his quitting period is over etc, his mind seems clearer and he's getting a LOT more productive stuff done. He also isn't tired much any more, which actually makes sleeping a problem .

He attributes most of this to stopping smoking weed, and would recommend any heavy user try stopping for a couple of weeks and see what happens!

Anyway, quitting what are supposed to be non-addictive drugs wasn't as easy as he thought it would be, which is definately a sign that he needed to cut down.

Anyone else have non-addictive drug quitting stories?
