Tips to a healthy opiate consumption?

Hi!
SWIM has been getting some codeine 30mg for his migraines and will be getting some percocets. He really uses them for his migraine but he also likes the effects so he sometimes uses them recreationaly.

SWIM was just looking for advice so that he doesnt become too tolerant and/or addicted to opiates.

Thanks in advance for the helpful answers.

Re: Tips to a healthy opiate consumption?

The advice of most posters here will probably be to avoid using opiates recreationally if at all possible.

I'm sure that there are more than a few posters on this forum that started out using small amounts once in a while that have full blown habits now, of all the types of drugs SWIY could use, opiates are probably the hardest to keep from overusing.

Re: Tips to a healthy opiate consumption?

Swim started with Percs for pain, discovered their recreational use 3 years ago and now feels that using Percs for pleasure is the worst path Swim has ever followed in his life. Swim's life revolves around his supply. Abort the inclination to use them that way.

Agreed. This is a life changing decision you are about to make. It may not seem a big deal but it fast becomes one.

Re: Tips to a healthy opiate consumption?

anyone who's been down the troubled road of opoiate addiction can tell SWIY the same thing: it seems great at first, but before you know it the drug begins to consume you. be careful. this is not idle talk. this is serious cautionary advice from a man who's been hooked like a fish.

Swiy knows the obvious answer but if you are going to take them recreationaly keep it on a monthly or weekly basis, tolerance builds up every time you take an opiate/opoid and it can build up quickly, resulting in swiy having to take a bigger dose to create the same effect until eventualy either a stronger drug will be sought or high doses of codine will be needed just to stop swiy feeling unwell.
Have fun but be safe and dont be a mug like me...
