Experiences - The "Bright White Shakes" on LSD

hey, swim told me that while he was tripping on LSD he slipped into a state of thinking and CEV's. when he snapped out of it and opened his eyes, everything got really bright like the brightest light he could imagine was right over him and then everything started to shake violently for about 5-10 seconds. this has happened to swim numerous times and he was wondering if this has happened to any 1 else. if so, he would also like to know if there is a name or term for this.

firstly: back to religion again, when people have had a certain experience & realisation they can do all kind of things like the known talking in tounges 'the holy language' & then of course the convulsions. so it sounds like the swimmer was on a high level of consciousness & had a rush of information that was overwhelming whilst focussing on these visuals. secondly: it could also be some kind of eppeleptic seizure, not sure on sweys health? so it's hard to tell from not knowing doses taken & health. here's a link from the forum for more info regarding the white light which is usually reached from high doses of lsd. http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=58435

This has happened to SWIM on many occasions. He calls it "close encounters with the third bardo"--it's not quite a white light experience, but it's as if the brain is reaching for it. Usually what happens to SWIM is, on a solid dose, he closes his eyes and concentrates on a visual until it becomes the focus of his entire being. All of his energy is concentrated on keeping the visual "alive and moving." T

hen, after what feels like a matter of minutes, while concentrating on the visual it feels as if his body is beginning to levitate and he's being "sucked inside himself." He tries to fight it, but just before he disintegrates into nothingness his eyes forcibly open and he gets the 10 second rush SWIY seems to be referring to. It feels like being brought back from the dead or something, all his vision goes white and the world around his visual field shakes--he feels disoriented a bit too, as if he's just taken some nitros or something. After his vision adjusts there's another brief "rush," but this time it's not nearly as intense.

Usually after the burst of white light there are remnants of the CEVs while his eyes are still open and they slowly fade away in the course of a few minutes.

SWIM has talked at length about this with people on other forums and they've had extremely similar experiences, mostly at doses estimated around 200-400mcg range. All of the people he's talked to have mentioned the same characteristics: a deep state of meditation on closed eye visuals followed by a feeling of being "brought out" of something or "brought back to life"--the outer world is too bright to look at for about ten to twenty seconds and then there's that "earthquake" feeling.

Actually I believe the song "Earthquake" by the thirteenth floor elevators, a band which mostly wrote songs about the LSD experience, is about this feeling; but I'm not sure. Maybe in the sixties these experiences were called "earthquakes" ?

well first off, swim tells me that he has no mental illness what so ever and no physical issues either, not even allergiers. Also, swim is not religious and doesnt believe in "God" so he doesnt think it would have anything to do with that. and the times it has happened he was on 1, 140 UG(microgram) blotter and the 2nd time he was on 2, 140 Ug blotters.

Songcycle... u explaned it very well and that is very similar to the experience swim had. the only difference is that the CEV's went away right when the "earthquake" and light showed up. swim also thinks he remembers a loud ringing for the durration of the "earthquake".
