Exercise and Hydrocodone

The flesh eating zombie that delivers my mail has had a hydrocodone prescription that outlasted the pain for which it was perscribed. Subsequently the pills were used recreationally once every three weeks or so. A few times he had to do some exercise while on hydrocodone, you know delivering heavy packages to doors and running back and forth to and from houses, and he noticed a different sort of high. Everything went to more of a body high instead of being euphoric how it started. In addition to this it felt like his body was out of breath slightly and clinging for every scrap of oxygen inhaled. If he weren't already a zombie he would have feared for his life!

The question plaguing this flesh eating letter carrier is he wonders if combining exercise with opiates while completely under the influence of them is unhealthy in any way?

I'll be sure to pull up the flag on my mailbox to let him know someone responded to his question.

Re: Exercise and Hydrocodone

SWIM has talked about the buzz while he is at work. He works for a company which remain un-named, but rents out trailers and trucks... So he works outside all day long, and due to chronic pain must take oxy daily to be able to work.

The buzz changes while moving around, vs sitting down/relaxing. The buzz strengthens whenever SWIM is not moving, the body high, the euphoria, everything.

However, he definately never complains about being out of breath... If anything, he mentions he is able to work faster and harder due to not being in pain. On the days he forgets or runs out, he is much slower(Due to pain obviously.) He also complains about dehydration and sweating.

SWIY must remember to drink LOTS of water while exercising and on opiates. Dehydration is a biiiitch :P

Re: Exercise and Hydrocodone

Opiates are known to cause people to be short of breath. It would be worse for someone who wasnt used to taking it daily. For swim even if hes taking 80 mgs of hydrocodone a day a simple 30 or 60 mg morphine pill will make him feel like he just ran a mile when sniffed or chewed. Swim used to love to excerise on Fentanyl. Probably something to do with the sweating, Increased blood flow, and body heat that would just make the effects so much stronger. He never felt better than he did when he'd skate or play baseball or basketball on those things.
